+ Do you need to be a nurse to own an ALF/AFCH?
No. Owning your own assisted living facility does not require you to be a licensed nurse.
+ Do you need own the property for the ALF/AFCH?
No. You don't need to be a property owner to own an ALF/AFCH.
+ Can you have more than one ALF/AFCH?
You can own as many ALF/AFCH businesses as you'd like, however you can only be adminstrator to three facility at one time.
+ Do you need license nurse or CNA to be on staff?
No, but it would be good to have a LPN to review your Medication Observation Record (MOR).
+ Is ALF/AFCH the same as Group Homes?
No, it is not. During your training you will be provided the infromation on what's the differnece.
+ Can you bill Medicaid for patients?
Yes, you can bill for medicaid patients. You will learn more about billing during the training.
